General instruction for extended abstract submission
Two types of communications are accepted for the symposium:

  • Oral communication
  • Poster presentation

The deadline for submission of proposals is March 3rd March 17th, 2017. Abstracts in english language should have between 1000 and 1500 words. Both empirical and theoretical proposals are accepted.

General instruction for paper submission

In order to ensure uniform style throughout the Symposium Abstract Book, all proposals have to be prepared strictly according to the instructions set below.

Language

British or American English spelling and terminology may be used, but either one should be followed consistently throughout the article.


Length

All proposals should be no shorter than 1,000 words and no longer than 1,500 words (all sections included).

Paper size is A4.

Margins: top and bottom margins 2,5 cm; left and right margins 3,0 cm.

Header and footer should have only the specified information. Please fill in the data requested in the spaces provided in template files.


Spacing

Please single-space all material, including notes and references.

Quotations of more than 40 words should be set off clearly, by indenting the lefthand margin. Use double quotation marks (“these”) for direct quotations and single quotation marks (‘these’) for quotations within quotations and for words or phrases used in a special sense.


Abstract

Please provide a short abstract of 100 to 200 words.

Abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references. Abstract should be typed in Times New Roman, 11 point, and be justified; Text should be indenting both sides 1 cm.


Keywords

Please provide no more than four keywords in alphabetical order.

Keywords should be typed in Times New Roman, 11 point, and be justified; Text should be indenting both sides 1 cm.


Main Body Text

Please type main body text using Times New Roman 12 point; first lines of paragraphs are indented 1cm; text should be justified; Do not add any space between lines or paragraphs.


Proposals reporting empirical research should preferably have the following structure:

  • Cover letter (Authors should provide name, affiliation, address, E-mail. Contact details should be typed in Times New Roman 11, justified).
  • Introduction (problem, theoretical framework, objective(s), and hypotheses);
  • Method (sample, instrument, and procedure);
  • Results (statistical analyses and results);
  • Discussion and Conclusions (main findings, discussion, theoretical and practical contributions, limitations and suggestions for future research);
  • Notes;
  • References;
  • Please use template for empirical proposals.

Proposals not reporting empirical research should preferably have the following structure:

  • Cover letter (Authors should provide name, affiliation, address, E-mail. Contact details should be typed in Times New Roman 11, justified).
  • Introduction (problem and objective(s));
  • Theme development;
  • Conclusions (main arguments, theoretical and practical contributions, suggestions for future research);
  • Notes;
  • Reference;
  • Please use template for theoretical proposals.

Symposium proposals:

Organizers should submit a general abstract of 300 to 500 words describing the symposium goals, followed by the abstracts of the set of papers (4 to 6 papers) that are included in it. Each paper should observe general instructions for paper submission.


Figures and Tables

Each figure and table should be numbered, mentioned in the text and included in desired position.

Tables and figures should be in grey scale. Do not use color. Figures and tables should be accompanied by a title and legend. Titles should be typed using Arial 10, bold. Legends should be typed using Arial 8. Text should be typed using Times New Roman 11 pt.

In tables, footnotes are preferable to long explanatory material in either the heading or body of the table. Such explanatory footnotes, identified by superscript letters, should be placed immediately below the table.

Cross-Referencing

In the text, a reference identified by means of an author’s name should be followed by the date of the reference in parentheses and page number(s) where appropriate.

When there are more than two authors, only the first author’s name should be mentioned followed by “et al”.

In the event that an author cited has had two or more works published during the same year, the reference, both in the text and in the reference list, should be identified by a lower case letter like “a” and “b” after the date to distinguish the works.

Section Headings

First-, second-, third-, and fourth-order headings should be clearly distinguishable. Heading should be numbered and flush left.

Notes

Please use endnotes only. Notes should be indicated by consecutive superscript numbers in the text and listed at the end of the article before the References. Notes should be typed in Times New Roman, 11 point, and justified.


References

References to books, journal articles, articles in collections and conference or workshop proceedings, and technical reports should be listed at the end of the proposal in alphabetical order.

References should be typed in Times New Roman, 11 point, and justified. Second and third lines of paragraphs are indented 1 cm.
